“I’ve always felt that blues, rock ‘n’ roll and country are just about a beat apart.”

- Waylon Jennings

He’s performed on stage with rock legends Napoleon Murphy Brock and Earl Slick, and as a member of the School of Rock West Coast Touring All Stars. Chase and his band, VIA, were judged one of the best teen bands in America in 2011 at the National SchoolJam USA Battle-of-the Bands, judged by, among others, Kevin Lyman of Vans Warped Tour. The Berklee College of Music awarded him two summer scholarships and, at the Peaks Jazz Festival in Utah, he walked away with solo and combo honors. Chase just he’s about to released first EP with more than a half dozen of his original songs. And, he’s only 17.

Chase is a natural on stage, energetic, engaging and magnetic. He can bring an audience to its feet with his vocals and guitar work on his rock originals, Lay Down and The Good Life. Or he can reach their hearts with his original love ballad, Write You a Love Song. Chase loves his audience and the stage, is a polished professional, and always brings the best out of his band. As Chase will tell you, the music “is what it’s about.”

Menzie Pittman, founder of the Contemporary Music Center in Virginia, said Chase’s “vocal ability, combined with his guitar work and his charisma, are a hard combination to beat.” Pittman was a member of the judging panel at the 2011 SchoolJam Battle-of-the-Bands competition in Downtown Disney, where Chase and his band, VIA, were selected as the third best teen band in America.

When he began working with Los Angeles vocal coach Lisa Popeil, she asked him what he wanted out of music. Without hesitation Chase said, the chance to “play in front of as many people as possible.”

Confident, yet authentic and grounded, successful, yet genuine and accessible, Chase is a fresh new talent with an old soul.
