Semi-Sweet is what happened when four friends decided to make music. Being broke, busy, and terribly untalented had held them back for long enough – Semi-Sweet is what happened when they stopped making excuses. They played their very first show less than two weeks after they started practicing, to an audience consisting mainly of skeptical mothers and bored boyfriends, with one or two innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire. It was then that Semi Sweet knew; “Man, if we don’t get better, one of us is going to get stabbed…”
And they did get better! Semi-Sweet plays pretty regularly around their Salt Lake City home, filling farmer’s markets, charity galas, and coffee houses with their silly folk pop sounds. They are cute, they are fun, some of their music is kind of sad but people seem to like it anyway.
